Iguaçu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. Along with being a World Heritage designated park, together, Iguacu falls make up the largest waterfall system in the world with over 270 falls and are on the list of Natural Wonders of the World to see.
In this guide, we’ll explore Iguazu falls from the Brazilian Side, including where to stay, how to get there, and the best spots to see the falls. These falls make for a stunning adventure and are truly one of the most stunning feats of nature I have ever seen.

This set of Waterfalls has many spellings; however, they all mean the same thing. Iguaçu comes from the Guarani - Tupi words “y” meaning “Water and “uasu” meaning “big”. Here are some spellings that I have come across.

Foz do Iguaçu - The City in Brazil in which you can reach the falls from.
Cataratas do Iguaçu - Cataratas is the Portuguese word for waterfall.

Located inside the national park on the edge of the Falls, this hotel is the closest you can possibly get to sleeping by the falls. You can literally hear the roar of the falls from your window.
